Shoko Kanazawa Calligraphy Exhibition ‒ Pray ‒

ITOCHU opened ITOCHU AOYAMA ART SQUARE in 2012,aspiring to encourage future generations through art, contribute to local communities and promote art and culture both domestically and internationally as part of its social contribution activities. ITOCHU AOYAMA ART SQUARE has since been held a number of exhibitions and will hold an exhibition of works by Ms. Shoko Kanazawa,
an iconic female calligrapher in the Heisei period, as the last exhibition of the period. Shoko Kanazawa, who has Down syndrome, actively works all over Japan together with her mother Yasuko Kanazawa.
They decided that the theme of the exhibition will be pray, which alludes to their expectations and hopes for today, when the current Imperial era will shift from Heisei into a new period.
Come and get a sense of her passion through calligraphy.
